From October 12th to 15th, the China International College Students Innovation Competition (2025) was held at Zhengzhou University. The competition saw participation from 6.19 million projects involving 24.43 million participants from 5,673 universities across 161 countries and regions worldwide. Four projects from the Medical School advanced to the final competition, comprising one in the Main Track, two in the "Red Tour" Track (including one collaborative project with the School of Information Science and Engineering), and one in the International Track (a collaboration involving the School of Information Science and Engineering and the Ningbo University - Université d'Angers Joint Institute).
After intense competition, the projects "Chong Ru Bu Jing – The Leader of Herbal Feed Additives in Animal Husbandry", "Xin You Ling Xi – A Provider of Intelligent Screening and Diagnostic Solutions for Coronary Heart Disease at the Primary Care Level", and "Wu Suo 'Wei' Ju – Pioneering in Non-Invasive Rapid Detection of Gastric Cancer" were awarded the Gold Prize in the Main Track, "Red Tour" Track, and International Track, respectively. The project "Mu Yuan 'Xin' Ge – Clearing the 'Sheep' Hurdle on the Path to Increased Production and Prosperity in Pastoral Areas" received the Silver Prize in the "Red Tour" Track.
It is reported that since the launch of this year's competition, the Medical School has placed high importance on it, implementing precise planning and meticulous arrangements. Leveraging disciplinary characteristics and professional strengths, the School conducted in-depth exploration and systematic cultivation of the projects. Throughout the process, professional teachers were frequently organized to provide guidance, significantly enhancing both project quality and team competitiveness. In the next stage, the School will use the competition as an opportunity to persist in using competitions to promote learning, continuously improve the innovative thinking and capabilities of teachers and students, and boost the construction and development of academic programs.
